December 4 is an interesting holiday — the International Day of writing letters and ordering gifts to Santa Claus. All comers take up pen and paper to tell the old wizard about their dreams. How to write a letter to Santa Claus for the New Year, taking into account all the rules of good manners?

Traditionally, we perceive the New Year as the main family holiday. Christmas tree, champagne, tangerine scent, confetti and, of course, waiting for gifts! Many adults continue to touchingly believe in a New Year's miracle — no less than the younger family members, they expect surprises mysteriously to appear under the tree. And it doesn't matter that Grandfather has to help a little by working as his deputy, is it? 🙂
So let's get started!
- Stock up on a great mood! Remember all the time that you are writing to a magician who knows a lot about a good joke and is always willing to have fun.
- Start with a greeting. Imagine that you are writing to your beloved grandfather! The words "dear Moroz Ivanovich" or "dear Santa Claus" will not leave your addressee indifferent.
- Be polite! A kind, but principled old man, he prefers to present educated girls and boys. Take an interest in the state of health of Santa Claus, ask if he is still tired. Be sure to congratulate on the upcoming holiday.
- Remind your name, because there are a lot of people who want to receive a gift. And although Santa Claus has assistants who answer letters and seem to remember everything, just in case, tell us about yourself. Indicate how old you are. Delicately remind you of the good deeds you have done during this year. If you have doubts about your own good behavior, add a couple of mitigating arguments 😉.
- Now that New Year's Grandfather is thoroughly prepared, tell him what you dream about. Stop at one, but the most important desire (we advise you to prudently take into account the possibilities of Santa Claus's deputies). By the way, as the experience of some authors of letters shows, barter and other purely commercial offers for some reason do not affect the contents of the gift.
- Promise something of value. Unlike business deals, promises to behave well, to help mom (or wife), to be polite with classmates (or business partners), not to violate traffic rules, Santa Claus is very supportive.
- Say goodbye to your grandfather politely, thank you for your attention. You can wish you health, vigor and hope to see you soon. Sign, date, write your address.
- And further! Who said that Santa Claus only loves to give? Your surprise will be the cherry on top of the cake. Try to draw his portrait or depict his closest associates — the Snow Maiden, the Snowman, the New Year tree. Self-portraits and group drawings of the whole family are also popular with the authors of letters (the corporate version is a collective portrait of employees).
